Agra, Gwalior, Orchha, Khajuraho With Spiritual Tour

Day 1: NEW DELHI - AGRA

Upon arrival at New Delhi Airport Drive to Agra, Check in Hotel. Overnight at Agra.

Agra was the capital of the Mughal court during the 16th and 17th centuries and its sublime monuments date from that era. The emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jehan governed their vast empires from here and as prolific builders; artisans from Persia, Central Asia and other parts of India were attracted by their patronage. The resulting luxurious palaces, tombs, forts and gardens dot the picturesque riverine region along the Yamuna River; three of which, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatepur Sikri have been declared World Heritage Sites. Agra is renowned for its delicate Pietra Dura work; a Florentine technique imported by Jahangir of arranging minute pieces of precious and semi-precious stones in complex, stylized floral and geometric designs into a marble base. Today artisans still recreate the old patterns.

Day 2: AGRA (S/S) - GWALIOR - ORCHA

Early Morning on sunrise visit to the incomparable Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) - the world greatest monument to love & devotion. This was made by the Mughal Emperor Shāh Jahān which took 22 years to build and completed in 1653, in memory of his beloved wife, known as Mumtāz Mahal. Its perfect proportions and exquisite craftsmanship took 20,000 workers almost 22 years to complete in 1653. It is undoubtedly a building as close to perfection as is achievable and its appearance changes magically with the light at different times of the day. Situated on the banks of the River Yamuna, he Taj Mahal stands at the northern end of formal gardens. The white marble came from Makrana in Rajasthan and the red sandstone from Fatehpur Sikri. Precious stones like jade, crystal, turquoise, lapis lazuli, sapphire, jade, coral and diamonds were brought from far-flung places in Tibet, China, Sri Lanka, Persia and Afghanistan. It is believed that a fleet of 1000 elephants was used to transport the material.

Day 3: IN ORCHHA

After breakfast check out the hotel then visit Orchha Fort, Chatubhuj Temple, Jehangir Mahal, Raja Mahal and Laxmi Narayan Temple. Overnight stay at Hotel in Orchha .

Day 4: ORCHHA - KHAJURAO

After breakfast check out the hotel then visit Orchha Fort, Chatubhuj Temple , Jehangir Mahal, then drive to Khajurao . Check in Hotel after wash and Change visit Local Folk dance. Overnight stay at Hotel in Khauraho.

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments date from around 1000 AD, when the Chandella Dynasty ruled this area. Originally there were 85 temples, of which only 22 still exist. There are both Brahman and Jain temples at the site. The temples are beautifully decorated on the outside: bands of sculptures surround the walls. These depict life in the time of the Chandellas. Some of the sculptures are remarkable because of their erotic displaying.

Day 5: KHAJURAO - CHITRAKOOT

After breakfast check out the Hotel then visit Eastern and western Group, Laxman Temple, Lord Shiva Temple, Devi Temple, then drive to Chitrakut . Overnight stay at Hotel in Chitrakut.

Chitrakoot means the 'Hill of many wonders'. Chitrakoot falls in the northern Vindhya range of mountains spread Chitrakoot's spiritual legacy stretches back to legendary ages: It was in these deep forests that Ram, Sita and his brother Lakshman spent eleven and half years of their fourteen years of exile; the great sage Atri, Sati Anusuya, Dattatreya, Maharshi Markandeya, Sarbhanga, Sutikshna and various other sages, seers, devotees and thinkers meditated; and here the principal trinity of the Hindu pantheon, Brahma,Vishnu and Shiva, took their incarnations.

Day 6: CHITRAKOOT - ALLAHABAD

After breakfast check out the Hotel then visit Gupt Godavari Cave, Kamadgiri Temple, Sati Ansuiya Temple, Janki Kund , Bharat Milap Mandir then drive to Allahabad. Check in Hotel and Overnight stay at Hotel In Allahabad.

The city of Allahabad is among the largest cities of Uttar Pradesh and situated at the confluence of three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati. The meeting point is known as Triveni and is especially sacred to Hindus. The earlier settlements of the Aryans were established in this city, then known as Prayag Prayagasya Praveshshu Papam Nashwati Tatkshanam. All sins are cleaned with entry in Prayag ( the ancient name of modern time Allahabad) PRAYAG is one of the historic and mythological cities of India with glorious past and present. It continues to enjoy the distinction of being a place of haunting and lasting memories. It is a city of mixed culture of Hindu, Muslims, Jains and Christians.

Day 7: ALLAHABAD - VARANASI

After breakfast check out the Hotel then visit Triveni Sangam, Allahabad Fort , Azad Park, Anand Bhawan and Hanuman Temple. Then drive to Varanasi. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Varanasi.

The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Often referred to as Benares, Varanasi is the oldest living city in the world. These few lines by Mark Twain say it all: "Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together". Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. Abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, the origins of Varanasi are yet unknown. Ganges in Varanasi is believed to have the power to wash away the sins of mortals.

Day 8: IN VARANASI

Sunrise boat Ride in Ganga, Visit Viswanath Temple, back to the Hotel take breakfast check out the Hotel Visit Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Mandir & Sarnath. Evening visit Aarit Ceremony near Ganga Gahat. Overnight in Varanasi.

Day 9: DEPARTURE FROM VARANASI

After Breakfast check out the Hotel then departure transfer Varanasi Airport board the flight for your own destinations. Service End.
